A call on speakerphone. Translations appear as each sentence ends, with regional words explained.
How it works
The microphone picks up you and the caller. Each line is labeled with who said it, and it can tell a voice in the room from a voice on the phone.
Type what you want to say and it gives you the sentence in their language to read aloud, or speaks it for you with Windows' own voices.
Each call can be saved as audio and a transcript, the transcript only, or nothing at all. Rename a call after the person and find it later.
Private by design
Hearing, translating and speaking all happen on the PC. It works with the internet unplugged.
Your calls, transcripts and recordings stay in a folder you choose. License keys are checked on the computer too.
The only thing it ever downloads is its own signed updates, and you can turn that off.
23 languages
English and Spanish are built in. Add French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Dutch, Romanian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi, Tagalog, Swahili, Nepali, Somali, Persian or Burmese, and each one downloads the first time you pick it.
A built-in glossary explains Mexican Spanish slang and the work and medical terms that come up on real calls, so mayordomo reads as foreman and incapacidad as time off work.

Machine translation makes mistakes. Use a certified interpreter for sworn statements, hearings, depositions and medical consent. Recording laws vary, and some places require everyone on the call to agree.
